I am a Cajun from Golden Meadow in Lafourche Parish. I grew up in a French speaking home. But as many of the Cajun’s my parents did not teach me to speak French. I longed to know how to speak French. Because of this I determined that I would go to college, learn French and teach it to the children of our area. I do not want the language to die. I have a strong passion for teaching French. I graduated from South Lafourche High School in 1982 and from Nicholls State in 1988. In 1988, I married Roy Seitz. Roy and I have been married for 19 years and we have four children:
Joshua - 17; Gabrielle - 16; Rachel - 13; and Caleb -9. I taught for two years before Joshua was born. I stayed home for 15 years to raise my family. In the fall of 2004, Caleb went to kindergarten
and I resumed my teaching career.
